Welcome to AAUW Reno, Nevada!

AAUW Reno Celebrates 100th Birthday!

We’re ready to celebrate AAUW Reno’s 100th birthday Friday, October 20, 6pm, at the Atlantis, Grand Ballroom 4.  We’ll have a great program, interesting displays and lots of socializing.
Click Here to see the centennial booklet.  It’s full of AAUW Reno’s history, programs and accomplishments, as well as bios of our program participants.
Ticket sales are now closed
Funds raised at this celebratory event will go toward a new local scholarship program that will assist women seeking advanced education, supporting things that traditional scholarships cannot—such as books, transportation, transcription retrieval or translation, and child care. Our goal is to remove the barriers to further education.

AAUW Reno was chartered in 1917, making us the oldest branch in Nevada by almost three decades! We are the local branch of a national organization of individuals from all walks of life who share a vision in advancing education and equity for women and girls. We are part of a network that makes a difference both locally and nationally. We welcome members from all professions and businesses who care about issues that are critical women and girls. The only requirement for membership is the equivalent of an associate’s degree or higher. Be part of a powerful voice on women’s issues.

We hope you join us at a meeting or event – check our calendar page to see what’s coming up. It’s a great opportunity to have fun, learn a little and make lifelong friends. We also have a number of interest groups, including two book groups, several bridge groups, a Great Decisions group, a local “travel” group, lunch diners and we raise almost $10,000 every year for local and national scholarships.

The Election’s Over, and AAUW Needs Your Support More Than Ever
