Topic:  What we can expect in Nevada after the November 6, 2018, general elections. Her insights on what happened and why are invaluable in understanding state politics and what the future may hold for us.

Lockard has over thirty years of government and private sector leadership experience having served as Nevada’s first female Chief of Staff of then Governor Richard Bryan (and future U.S. senator); as vice president for a global software company; and as Nevada’s CIO for the Department of Information Technology.

Lockard’s background in public policy, technology, and government processes led her to form her own consulting firm in 2003, The Lockard Group, of which she is the principal, with a successful record of working in the government relations industry and with nonprofit organizations. She has represented numerous clients on behalf of their government affairs and issue advocacy needs, and has a long involvement in such community groups as the Committee to Aid Abused Women (CAAW), the Nevada Women’s Lobby, Nevada Coalition for Women’s Equity (NCWE), the Nevada Women’s Fund, and UNR’s College of Engineering Advisory Board. Ms. Lockard is a frequent co-host for Nevada Newsmakers, a current affairs news program and podcast.
