Our AAUW Reno branch supports the overall AAUW mission to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and philanthropy.

Why join or renew?

    • Support funding of scholarships for local women and girls
    • Participate in fun Interest groups: Walking/Hiking, Book Club, Bridge, Great Decisions, and more.
    • Stay connected with fellow members via monthly meetings (outdoor or Zoom meetings for now).

Membership in AAUW is open to any graduate holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate, or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution. Students working toward a qualifying degree may become student affiliates.

Dues

Dues are $95 for the 2023-24 membership year, which includes

  • $72 Association (national) dues
  • $9 Nevada state dues
  • $14 Reno branch dues

The membership year is July 1 – June 30.

Tax deductibility: $69 of the $72 National Association dues is tax deductible.

Membership

To renew or to join as a new member, review the materials below. The AAUW website has been updated (May 2022), and all members are now required to have an account in order to submit payments online (even if you already had one).

Renewing Members

Log in with your username (usually your email address) and password. If you’ve forgotten your password, click “Forgot Password” at the bottom of the screen (when you get a “password reset” email from AAUW, create a password and log in). If you do not receive the “password reset” email within a day OR you have other problems, please describe your issue in an email to info@aauwreno.org.

Once you’re logged in, you can update your profile by clicking “Edit Profile” in the menu on the left side of the screen.  When renewing, make sure you select the all of the correct membership options: National, Branch (Reno), and State (Nevada).

New Members

At the “Welcome” screen with log-in instructions, click “Don’t have an account” at the bottom of the screen.

Once your account is set up, follow the instructions to join and make sure you select all of the correct membership options: National, Branch (Reno), and State (Nevada).

Student Members

Student affiliation is open to undergraduates or degree-seeking graduates enrolled in full-time or part-time programs. Students enrolled at College/University Partner Member institutions receive a free e-Student affiliation.
