October 12, 2019 (program): Domestic Violence. Alyssa Ropell, Development Coordinator for the Domestic Violence Resource Center, will speak on the struggles individuals and families face when violence occurs in the home and what services are available to counteract them. https://domesticviolenceresourcecenter.org.
November 9, 2019 (program): Native American Heritage Month. Stacey Montooth, recently appointed Executive Director of the Nevada Indian Commission by Governor Steve Sisolak, will speak on the concerns of Native Americans in Nevada and the resources of the Commission. https://nvculture.org/indiancommission/about-the-nic/.
December 8, 2019 (social): Membership Holiday Party. To be determined.
January 11, 2020 (program): Nevada Girls State. Courtenay Burns, program chair of Girls State and public policy chair of the AAUW Reno Branch Leadership Council, will speak about the organization’s leadership and citizenry training of young women. http://nevadagirlsstate.net/.
February 8, 2020 (program): Housing Plight in Northern Nevada. A speaker from ACTIONN will speak about the housing plight in Northern Nevada and on what can be done to advocate for social change for women and families. https://actionn.org

April 11, 2020 (program): In person meeting cancelled due to COVID-19. Sondra Cosgrove will present “The Fair Maps Nevada Redistricting Reform Ballot Question” via ZOOM. The annual business meeting and Council election will be conducted using SurveyMonkey (link to be sent on April 15, 2020).
